I had a really interesting conversation with @KyleKulinski about how he conceives of his role in the contemporary media landscape -- plus, how he set up Bernie's interview with Joe Rogan. And a lot more!https://www.patreon.com/posts/kyle-kulinski-on-29542906 …

It's important to remember that it's in traditional media's best interest to maintain the sequestration, so always be skeptical of the labels pushed by those set to benefit.

Given that the viewership of some YouTube channels dwarfs that of most cable news shows, it seems the influence of the latter is given far too much weight. It's time for airports, hospitals and other places with waiting rooms to start streaming Rogan instead of CNN.

No one has any influence except for insiders. You can see that by the example of the DNC. It like a little woke mob.

It’s probably better that YouTube commentators aren’t lumped into the MSM landscape. Look at
@TYTPolitics. They’ve sold themselves off to Katzenberg, making them just as dodgy as MSNBC.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

For as long as their existence persists, the old guard will try to shut YouTube out of the media-The new world we are entering with the internet is going to require people to think for themselves and dig for truth more-as opposed to the old days when journalists dictated “truth.”

If we talk about eyeballs on content as a metric for influence, they can't be ignored. Demographics are a big thing too, I would suspect to find big shifts in age of viewers but with a trend of greater youth engaging with social media over networks. Ultimately I think it's good.

I haven’t watched Kyle in a long time. I stopped watching Secular Talk when he flipped in 2016
