Tulsi has ~170,000 individual donors. Two national polls this week alone put her at or above the required threshold (but they're not "approved" by the DNC). She's ahead of Beto, Yang, Klobuchar, Booker, and Castro in New Hampshire. Excluding her from the debates is a total joke.

@DNC & @TomPerez said debate qualifications were going to be based on grassroots support. @TulsiGabbard has huge grassroots support, incredible momentum from the last debate, nearly 170,000 unique donors & 2% plus in over 25 non-qualifying polls. #LetTulsiSpeak #LetTulsiDebate

Because a significant number of donors weren’t real people. I’m willing to bet donations were being funneled through online fake accounts originating from mother Russia.

DNC is a private, corrupt organization. Whoever they want to win the nomination will probably be the candidate.

Including @TulsiGabbard would require that the DNC change the rules for the September debate. @JayInslee also met the donor threshold, but dropped out with the understanding that these polling requirements would be in place, unchanged for September and October.

In a 2018 memo laying out their framework for the debates, the DNC wrote, “Given the fluid nature of the presidential nominating process, the DNC will continuously assess the state of the race and make adjustments to this process as appropriate.” - It would only require this!
