WTF are you talking about? My "agenda" is to discourage kids from getting irreparable brain damage. Brett Favre has called football a "violent sport" and suggested that he would not allow his sons to play. Is that also some sinister "agenda"?https://twitter.com/WhitlockJason/status/1165735287642738688 …

A 21-year-old football player killed himself last year, and an autopsy later showed that he already had extensive CTE. At 21. So no, children should not be subjected to this. Find another sport that doesn't involve repeated sub-concussive blows to the headhttps://www.apnews.com/9b80ee5f6a5e43d78e545300c549029b …

Young children lack the agency to make fully informed decisions for themselves. Habituating them into football at an extremely early age, and then blaming them for the ensuing brain damage because they weren't technically "forced" to play, is grotesque

If you pay property taxes, there's a good chance you subsidize a school football program. Which means your $$$ goes to funding something that the science overwhelmingly shows causes horrific brain damage. Football should be phased out of public life. If that makes you mad, tough

I get angry about this subject because who knows how many people have been consigned to lives of unnecessary stress, impaired memory, anger control issues, depression, and other mental/physical injury because a bunch of quasi-macho idiots decided it's good for their "character"

sports build character! There's no alternative to brain damage sorry. Football is a man's game. Etc etc. I'll take no CTE I played basketball soccer and golf all through school. My kids won't be playing football either they can prove their manhood elsewhere.

Again, you're talking individual cases while not considering every single person that has ever played the sport....And that's like refusing to let people drive because, inevitability, some of you will die in auto accidents over the course of your lifetime..

Mikey it’s not until 12-13 years old when these kids are actually strong and fast enough to cause damage. Maybe if you played you’d know.

Parents sign their kids up for all kinds of dangerous activities. Seriously, what parent would let their 5 year old ride a sheep or ride a dirt bike at 7? Let’s just ban parenting altogether that will solve it.pic.twitter.com/XW4SET08lG

Should we not allow parents to bring their kids to the pool? More kids die from drowning than from playing youth football. https://www.poolsafely.gov/know-the-facts-fatal-child-drownings/ …pic.twitter.com/3bd4ihk8Yr

You make a good point. But one could argue teaching our kids to drive subjects them to much greater dangers and statistically kills and maims more people and causes more suffering. We must live our lives and it brings both joy and suffering.
