Fox News poll again suggests hyper-politicization in the electorate. More people (57%) say they are “extremely interested” in the presidential election *today* than at the peak of the previous cycle, Nov. 2016 (53%). In Aug. 2015, only 30% said they were extremely interestedpic.twitter.com/yujWgUPTSG

They are going to try to sway the vote anyway they can. I've already come across articles putting Trump down in the election from so called conservative sites. It didn't deter us then and shouldn't this time. This is where we come in again.

This is extremely interesting to me. It's the first indication I've seen that voter turnout will be a big factor.

Are they more interested, or does social media magnify each little episode out of proportion?

15 years ago everybody was crying that we had a disinterested electorate and low voter turn out and how terrible it was. Now interest and engagement are up and people act like we're gonna have another civil war. Be nice if the leftists stopped resorting to violence tho.

One thing for sure, Pres Trump sure stirs things up, on both sides of the divide!!! At least it gets the issues addressed which is rare for DC, which has become one big fundraising machine for eternal campaigning

I think it's fair to characterize those "extremely interested" people as extremists.

Polls are pretty unreliable and often rigged these days. I can already predict polls in 2019 will as a "establishment consensus" say Trump has little to no chance against whoever the Dem nominee is. The msm is desperate and will be even worse than in 2016.

Oops, meant the polls next year, in 2020. re: my prediction. Remember how slanted it was and most polls said Hillary was a "sure thing" to beat Trump? Expect more of that, but even more slanted and biased.

Michael, as a semi-social scientist, you understand this poll was trash. The MoE was beyond the basic acceptance of this poll as being an indicator of anything of value. Are all FOX polls this bad?pic.twitter.com/WEmhZuRam0

Two recent well researched books speak powerfully to polarization: Identity Crisis by Sides, Tesler and Vavreck and Uncivil Agreement by Lillian Mason. This divide bodes ill for the future of the U.S.

More people getting involved in politics. Is this why censorship is so important for our elites.
