Solid take. Relatedly, however, it might be worth noting that Chomsky does conclude that Assad used chemical weapons and that the US should keep troops in Syria.https://youtu.be/e1mpg-7SiMM

.....which is a truly bizarre take by Chomsky. Hard to square it with who he claims to be.

I'm glad you consulted the noted expert on Milosevic and the Khmer Rouge to weigh in on this topic.

I want to believe this is him but I feel like Chomsky would know to use the word "legitimize" instead of "legitimate" as a verb

presumably tracey made a mistake and Chomsky is having a dig at him

I'm curious... is this something you just weren't able to work out on your own, or do you believe Chomsky's validation is important for some specific reason?

It's important when the #1 source of attacks against our country's strongest advocates for finally ended the
#ForeverWars are many of the same people who hold Chomsky up as a secular saint. Trump is POTUS: This is the *wrong* time for friendly fire, circular firing squads, etc. - 1 more reply

Yes, Tulsi was right to meet w/Assad, esp given the hot war between nuclear powers that might have easily erupted in Syria. But, Chomsky is a gatekeeper, always upholding militarism. I have many friends in & from Syria. None agree w/the US establishment narrative about Assad.

I hadn't realized Kucinich had done so as well. Did this have anything to do with him dropping out of sight?
