Yeah and there are already a variety of infringements on what firearms and firearm accessories you can possess, including one enacted by Trumphttps://www.foxbusiness.com/features/trump-federal-bump-stock-ban-goes-into-effect …

1) Every individual possesses the right to self-defense and has the right to determine how best to protect their life from attacks upon it. 2) The citizenry should possess the means to remove any state once it becomes tyrannical.

It’s really quite simple: The Surprisingly Solid Mathematical Case of the Tin Foil Hat Gun Prepperhttp://bit.ly/2KxJm7m

That was very reasonable and very good.

Because they can. It’s called a right and we don’t have to explain to skeptics why we deserve our 2A right.

Banning riffles like the AK-47 would only decrease gun deaths by less than 5%.
-
Not true. Just because roughly that percentage of murders are committed with rifles doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t be committed with some other weapon absent the availability of an AK-47.

I'm not sure why you or anyone is owed a explanation on how people exercise their freedoms

If you favor banning it, I need you to explain to me why you’d be willing to see me killed if I own one.

That’s a solid question. By the timing I take it is in response to the ignorant mass killing today. Instead of answering I will point out evil ignorants can use simple Trucks to carry out larger attacks. The weapon should not be the focus IMO
-
And then there's the ones in China doing knife attacks at things like crowded train stations and getting similar body counts. TLDR: Large numbers of unarmed people in normally peaceful venues (low situational awareness) make easy targets for any sort of weapon

This the dumb argument of ppl who don't know anything about guns. If he had gone in there with 4 handguns he'd done the same damage
-
Wrong. Rounds from semi-automatic rifles travel at nearly 3 times the speed of most handgun rounds and tumble on impact delivering far more traumatic damage per round.

The real question should be: Is the government actually capable of enforcing the law you seek to enact? If yes, that means the government has the monopoly on that level of firepower. If no then that means criminals and the government have said monopoly.

Come on, Michael. It is not any different than any other Semi-Automatic rifle. Just because you know the name of it, doesn't mean that it is suddenly worse.
-
No civilian needs a semi-automatic rifle period. There are plenty of other hunting rifles, shotguns and small arms to use.

That's because mass shootings are a symptom of a greater disease - that of the fear and paranoia injected into the US population by mass media, making people progressively more insecure. Fear and warmongering go hand in hand. Mass shootings are a side-effect.
-
I remember when I watched Michael Moore’s film on gun control that the surprising conclusion was that the unique thing about American gun massacres was the media environment, not gun ownership levels. That said I far prefer Australian restrictions on gun ownership to US chaos.
