She does attract a libertarian/conservative contingent but my point is that they're in the minority, yet the media uses them to define her campaign

You're only as good as your worst retweeter

Sounds like a joke but that really is how political reporters operate these days

It's hilarious to me that a candidate having cross-party appeal is actually considered a negative to the Democrats. It's like they don't know how to win elections.
-
The Democratic party doesn't care if it wins or loses. They just want the donor cash to fatten their own bank accounts to keep flowing. Their motto should be Don't Rock the Boat.

I'm a Republican. I respect Tulsi because she is intellectually honest and sincerely skeptical about our role as World Policeman. Would I vote for her? No. But we need more people of integrity like her on both sides.

As a Trump supporter who is anti war and wants less interventionism, her foreign policy ideas appeal to me. I disagree with her on quite a few domestic issues but she seems very reasonable overall.
-
Same here. It's refreshing to see someone on the stage who's not a vapid liberal bromide producing machine. Hopefully we see more relatively "centrist" (she's pretty far left actually) candidate like her rise up and pull the Dems back from brink of insanity. The country needs it

Only because the Democrats have been co-opted by the military-industrial complex and the open borders lobby. The latter expounds policies which are diametrically opposed to the interests of the working class. We're living in clown world.
-
Mind you, appealing to a "right-wing" base is not bad, if by right wing you mean someone who cherishes the sovereignty and traditions of the Republic, and the people who actually built the country. Getting the nomination is not enough. Someone has to beat Trump.

And to think the DLC thru Third Way Dems have championed garnering any and all voters from the right for decades. But when Tulsi threatens to do it....And this is why more than any other reason:https://twitter.com/CNNPolitics/status/1156755828625555457 …

After Trump won, a loud and vocal contingent of left wingers insisted that swing voters did not exist.

Maybe she has some supporters who think for themselves and don't fit neatly into any label.
-
This right here! Some of us voters aren’t far left or far right, we want less war, we’re tired of being police, we want money spent here on our people, and Tulsi is the best choice on that stage to pull those kind of voters. She understands that dems need that.
