Impeachment is bad for the country.

Not if it would result in the removal of a completely incompetent leader from office.

The country doesn't want impeachment. This will tie up the govt for the next 15 months which is dumb since there is an election coming. The Dems promised they wouldn't do this in 2018 if elected. They essentially lied to the voters.
-
The only reason why we are seeing Democrats in the House push for impeachment is because they are all up for reelection in 2020 and think this will help them in the elections.

I personally believe impeachment, no matter what it's cause, (short of some huge unknown revelation), will actually bolster support for Trump. Since I'm on the opposite side of the political spectrum I'm all for this. I agree with your take overall though.

Really surprised to read this after all the hot air you’ve blown about how stupid Russiagate is. Obvious conclusion would be that impeachment on such grounds would be an epic failure politically.

it's all a fraud and would hurt the country and foreign policy. More important to prosecute the crooks and restore a little faith in FBI. Cia and DOJ.

Donald Trump's foreign policy is already a shambles.

Clinton remained popular, and impeachment didn't work for conservatives, circa 1998 because 1.) of economic growth at the time and 2.) he was personally popular, if not in fact a charismatic personality. Plus, many of the ones leading the charge were themselves guilty of....

moral failings, as they were accusing Clinton. Donald Trump's personal popularity is not anywhere near what Clinton's was and I'm saying now that the economy is about to turn sour, possibly catching him off guard. That might not be directly related to his interactions with....

Trump didn't do anything illegal, according to you. Am I wrong on your stance? Asking in earnest.

History dictates that when a political party does something that most Americans ate not in favor of it doesn't end well for that party
