        The current claimed figure is 500 troops but you should automatically assume that's a lowball number designed to head off any perception of a massive deployment. (Although 500 troops would be considered a massive deployment most places in the world, in the US it barely registers)

        The war on Al-Qaeda or Terrorism was over 2011 when rhe previous Administration started helping them in Syria. Im not surprised that we sending troops in SA....

        Americans troops in Saudi Arabia is literally one of the reasons Bin Laden gave for attacking us on 9/11. What could possibly go wrong? Or maybe they encourage another attack so they can somehow link it to Iran and get their war....

        All it really does is make our troops a target there for Iran should a hot war break out. It’s almost like they are willing to sacrifice our own men and women to drum up public support for all war with Iran
