The US is currently waging an intense multi-year bombing campaign in Somalia (at least 46 airstrikes so far in 2019) with little-or-no independent verification of civilian casualties. Perhaps that has contributed to the "brokenness" of the country? Just a theory

In addition to regular airstrikes, there are currently 500-600 US troops in Somalia, plus an unknown number of contractors. Did you even know that? US officials say the current "training mission" (euphemism for combat) won't be complete till 2026. Sound familiar?

Here's an idea. US government officials should take responsibility for what their government is doing in foreign countries, rather than use the problems in those countries to score cheap partisan political points

We can’t save Somalians from themselves. All we can do is welcome them into the family of nations and offer them the love, dignity, and support all people need. They are an ancient people with rich cultural traditions. I sound like

Tracey can say things like this all he wants but when #2 rolls around we gotta commit to the idea that Rwanda is going to Rwanda itself.

If you offered a deal to Americans that they wouldn't intervene abroad in exchange for no more immigrants it would be taken in a second.

This is ridiculous. The US conducting airstrikes against terrorists is a symptom not a cause. Somalia has been an utterly dysfunctional country long before US involvement. If anything Somalis are better off with US involvement than without (look up operation UNOSOM and warlords).

Also: Don´t misread this as an endorsement of interventionism. I would have no issue with pulling all western forces from Somalia and letting them starve and kill themselves. I am just saying that the intervention didn´t make things worse and possibly made things somewhat better.
