I swear to god this just happened. I received an obvious scam robocall telling me my Social Security number had been suspended due to suspicious activity. I stayed on the line and a man with a heavy Indian accent identified himself as "Officer Jack Parker," which is hilarious...

this guy sounds amazing -- disgruntled and nihilistic Indian scam farm worker is good premise for a sitcom

They do that now when you start asking for details. At this point, I support US military intervention in scammer call centers.
-
Agreed. I’m as non-interventionist as they come, but if we were to put the $700 billion/yr American military arsenal to use, it should be against Indian call center scammers. Do what a world policeman would ACTUALLY do hehe.

I got one of those fake IRS agent scams. I asked what location they were based out of. They said "in the ocean." "The ocean?" I replied. "Yeah." he said menacingly, "in the deep. blue. sea." *click*

Sadly people fall for this though
also be aware of “typosquatting” where a fake web address that’s very similar to real address but just off by one letter or spelled wrong can take you to whole fake interface that looks legit (bridge toll violation payment site here in Cali).Thanks.
