I’m taking credit for Swalwell dropping out, he couldn’t in good conscience stay in the race after this very mean column I wrotehttps://spectator.us/swalwell-folly/

Swalwell just managed to get on the debate stage with Biden, Bernie, Harris, etc. and is now suddenly dropping out when there's a chance he could've made the second debate. So... what was the point? It was never a real campaign; just a momentary PR opportunity. MSNBC beckons

"I no longer see a path forward to the nomination," Swalwell said today. I would like to know what he originally conceived that "path" to be. If he truly believed in his "message" (gun confiscation + Russia) he could've stayed in much longer, but he's just an incoherent dope

He quit bc there is a clone of AOC, OMAR, TLAIB who is an Afgan Muslim preparing to run against him in his district. He being a white male is on a slippery slope in the predominantly third world make up of his district.

Should have gracefully bowed out a while ago. All those people who donated “just one dollar” that he kept asking for lost their money and he knew it.

MSNBC was the whole point. It's about self-aggrandizement. Run. Gain notoriety. Cash in at a later date.

This. Like others in the 2016 GOP field. ~RT: " It was never a real campaign; just a momentary PR opportunity [for Swalwell]. MSNBC beckons."

He has no tangible skills relating to real voters. His district is fixed. He never learned how to debate or engage opposition. It appears that his preparation consisted of that of a prince assuming the throne. But this is the digital age. Leaders have to be liked.

The chance of him making the second debate was very small because Bullock has 5 polls at 1% while Swalwell has only 3 polls at 1%. It was possible tho
