    Michael Tracey Retweeted Ned Lamont

Hilarious that Ned Lamont, the darling of the "Netroots" circa 2006 who finally got elected to something last year, has decided to endorse... Joe Biden, the very last candidate you'd expect if you took the whole insurgent "Netroots" persona seriouslyhttps://twitter.com/NedLamont/status/1146076313511440385 …

    Michael Tracey added,

As Democrats, we are fortunate to have such an impressive field. The strength of our candidates is good for our democracy and for us as a nation. Joe has spent his entire life fighting for hard working American families. That’s the kind of President we need now more than ever.

Wasn’t Obama the darling of the Netroots?

He was just more realistic about Iraq being a disaster than Joe Lieberman was. Nothing more radical than that apparently.

Kos and TPM are “netroots”. They are just standard partisan Democrats.

I know Kyrsten Sinema was a huge netroots person back in her state legislature days in the mid 2000's.

Activists were there for Ned the anti-war Senate Member. They did not come out for Ned the Solitary Executive. Very different guys. Senator Ned would have voted D more often than Lieberman. Exec Ned lacked urban reach and his latest LtGov pick was a big tell.

Absolutely nothing after Lamont's defeat for the Senate seat has indicated that he's a "netroots" guy. If you're just picking up Lamont's political journey 12+ years later and assuming this is some big discovery, then no wonder your brains are scrambled eggs courtesy of Maxine
