Democrats, journalists, and think tank “experts” hate the Korea peace process because they put their own self-serving political interests over the vast majority of Koreans, who overwhelmingly want a resolution to this decades-old conflict

Different motivations are at work. Dems are just terrified Trump will get a big political win in diplomacy. Imperial NatSec types don’t want peace, because continued hostility is the foundation for the US presence.

Would you say the same thing about the Mideast “Peace Process” which likewise has no achievable goals and just serves as a cover for the continued abuse of Palestinians?

I watched South Korean TV live this morning to watch Trump meet with Kim. You can tell South Korea has a much different perspective than the US media. It was refreshing to watch and see how important the meeting really is, and your point is spot on.

I'd also include diplomats & the entrenched bureaucracy that supports them. They've been at this peace process for near 70 yrs. @POTUS seeking a path to peace with NKorea conflicts with political & financial interests of all stakeholders cited. @TuckerCarlson @MZHemingway

Ugh, here he goes again smh...no one, zero, “Democrat’s,” who aren’t already part of a very small & very rich group of left/right profiteers do not want a Korean peace process, as well as peace. Same goes for most journos, etc. This is missing the forest for the trees my good man

This isn't a "peace process". North Korea has changed none of its behavior, agreed to no provisions, and was given $2,000,000 for Otto Warmbier. All for some pointless photo op.

I think it’s more that they know the North Korea situation will inevitably end horribly unless Kim jong un voluntarily decides to end his dictatorship, which he won’t.
