There were points at which Tulsi could've interjected last night but it's just not her temperament to do that, which has advantages and disadvantages. This was the first time millions of Americans were exposed to her, which is why she prioritized just doing a basic introduction

She needs to be less polished. Her back and forth off the cuff remarks are standout home runs. Her rehearsed over-polished monologues just are too forced. She has a big advantage in a niche issue 90% of the country agrees w her on and no other candidate does. Plus she is likable.

She would be the best to debate trump. Everyone else would get the Jeb/Marco/Cruz/Clinton treatment. And IMO, they'd not handle it well. Her tho, I don't see that strategy paying the same dividends

She has to overcome her reticence if she's going to have any chance. Needed more of the "chicken-hawk" rhetoric

She did come across as the sane one, but given the competition that's kinda a participation trophy.

She is overcautious and overthinks things sometimes... like defending Biden when there was no need, whether or not the criticism was fair or not. She could destroy more than just Tim Ryan on foreign policy if she got aggressive, went on attack.

she needs to move past just that one message - ‘war is bad’ - good start, but too one dimensional

Her strength comes from actual conversations, not these weird formats that make no sense outside of spectacle.

She showed both compassion and backbone which I think caught the attention of those who hadn't followed her before. Helps explain the post-debate web searches

There will be a new cult favorite by tonight. I am thinking Yang, or maybe Bernie will come out shining bright again. Both are more then a one issue candidate. Way too early in the game.

People are dunking on her for answering the equal pay question with her stump speech when for all she knew that was going to be one of her only chances to speak that night, and in primetime

If she wouldn't be bringing the DNC so close to executive power, I'd agree. Unfortunately I don't trust she'd have the effect that trump does in controlling the GOPs worse sides. If she opens up like trump did on the Max boots and Bill Kristols of the DNC, I'd be more open
