Candidates could hold their own separate forums, debates, etc. if they didn't pay such fealty to the DNC. We have the technology! Maybe actual journalists could even moderate, rather than TV celebrities play-acting as journalists

a race to who can 1. Give ringing endorsement on impeachment and Mueller 2. Make the border seem like 1940s Germany 3. Give the most freebies 4. Support tech censoring "nazis" 5. Say tech is a misogynistic powerhouse that needs more liberals and gives a platform to hate

The global media empire should be made non profit through reverse IPOs and stock buy backs. Just like healthcare, take the profit out of it and it will serve the public instead of private shareholders.

From the ads you would think half of the "debates" will be MSNBC talking about the debates

Remains to be seen what the actual format of the back-and-forth will be too, and if that changes to protect Biden from extemporaneous speaking on night two. My guess is 2-3 min of stump speech from each candidate followed by turdway talking point questions then a 2 min wrap/out

Maximizing viewership may be greedy but it also is a beneficial goal. More people tuning in = more informed voters.

These debates are entertainment, more sport than actual substantive debate over real topics of significance. They tend to have a distinct lack of actual educational/informational value. Watch it tonight and lmk if you disgaree afterwards.

Ya but do you really want the government to facilitate these debates? I guess there is no way around bias.

The interesting thing is that to stand out in a crowded field, the Trump strategy (attack your opponents) should be most beneficial to getting attention. I can see the mods really trying to stop any actual debate.

You mean like when
@FoxNews lets@realDonaldTrump call in to ( attempt to ) fix his tweets or when one of their infotainment anchors calls into the Oval Office to orchestrate policy--yea, I hate when that happens...Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
