Even if you have a point (you don't) the motives behind the criticisms hardly matter. Are the criticisms valid is the chief concern.

Truth is hard to know. Motivations are evidence. They are not dispositive.

There wasn't much stuff to do as VP but look cool in sunglasses and conduct photo ops with Obama. Maybe some family business in Ukraine but who's watching. His record in congress is littered with "unelectable" actions.

He wasn’t in charge. Besides; he’s never ran a Presidential campaign long enough for all his skeletons to fall out of the closet.

Everyone is and has always been vocal about how much they hate Pence, and hated Cheney, though.

Personally, I never complained because I did not know what he was about. I’m assuming his presidential bid prompted Inquiry into who this man really is.

fair, but he didn’t run for veep. When he ran for POTUS in ‘07, though I don’t have vivid recollection of his campaign, I remember he was criticized for certain statements like his suspect comments on AIDS (something about telling black men how it’s not “unmanly” to wear condoms)

and also, that was really the first presidential race where social media was relevant, but not like it is now where everyone and their mother’s father participates in

The entire point of the Obama campaign was that things were going to be different (they weren’t) so of course people let some things slide, the media has always been fine playing along with insider BS but people are tired of that shit now This point is null

Didn't complain? 73 percent of eligible voters did not vote for his party's prez candidate at the end of his V.P. term. The party lost a thousands seats while he 'served'.
