Harvard's version of "thoughtful reasoning" is to pump out war criminals, Michael. The idea that they've ever been an institution that has made the world a better place is spurious. Did you or he care about these things before "emotion" allegedly took over? Srs question.
He's not going to respond to this because it would require thoughtful analysis on the role of institutions such as Harvard, which requires much more effort than "destroying" some perceived strawman of irrationality.
Don't worry, they'll probably lose all their emotions by age 26.
Michael I love you but this sure ain't it chief
I wonder if anyone has actually done a class analysis of these eruptions, and whether they are more likely coming from privileged kids, than working class kids who rarely make it to campus, and if they do, have no time for these hystrionics.
I think that the Harvard alumni who will screw the leadership of society graduated more than 10 years ago.
And of course, most of it is negative emotion.
Unless we stop Harvard students ruling over society. Hope that's what we learn from the politically correct fascism now so in vogue at all the 'best' schools.
Actually, I think we are more of a meritocracy now where "who you know" (Harvard's forte) counts for less that what you can do. Most of our tech geniuses did not graduate Ivy League. They just had great ideas and the diligence to pursue them.
Reason #487 why we're all screwed.
It is a direct relationship with the emasculation of American society
They don't rule in govt, at least, if people don't elect them.

Translation: "I couldn't get in to Harvard. I went to a third-rate university in England."
Even the Supreme Court is trending that way. Justice Thomas says the court allowed popular opinion to influence the decision in the Foster v Chatman. Btw I am opposed to death penalty
Thoughtful reasoning was never what elite campuses were about Grow up
