Calling any prospective attack on Iran a "limited strike" is ridiculous, it would've been an act of war, resulting in death and destruction. I'm sure if a US military installation was bombed and hundreds killed, we'd all sit back and breathe a sigh of relief that it was "limited"

"Kinetic strike" is another propaganda term used to downplay the severity of this potential action. Again, try to imagine how a "kinetic strike" on US military targets in, say, Norfolk VA would be interpreted by politicians and the wider public. As a declaration of war, obviously

How is shooting down a drone not "an act of war" while hitting a military base IS an act of war?

I’m personally signing you up for the front line, bub. Good luck. (Some of us have family in the military.) Let’s reverse the roles, and pretend Iran was flying an unmanned drone in our airspace. Exactly.

And 9/11 was just a 'limited strike' too since it wasn't a full scale invasion.

The U.S. government has already been waging war on Iran with sanctions.

Playing with language like this is an attempt to bypass having any debate regarding our nation’s desire to engage in war.

The very idea that the engagement would be limited--that we could withdraw at will--should make it obvious that it is utterly unnecessary. Sadistically so.

Yeah, you know? 9/11 was limited . Nobody breathed a sigh of relief. Might be a relative term.

Fact is we are the world's police. Always havebeen. We saved the world from Germany and Japan. Have held the Chinese in check and tried to maintain balance in the middle east. It's not always perfect but small countries need to respect that.

Right, policing the world by incinerating 3 million Vietnamese, sponsoring death death squads in Central and South America, backing terrorists in Syria and turning Iraq and Libya into failed states. Some policing.

And with Trump's restraint this time, he would be more justified to launch an attack if Iran keeps poking the bear.
