No. Being a democrat insulated him.

I’m Thinking 44 does not want Biden to be 46.

At the rate Biden is going, he will be lucky to get the nomination

I think after next week's debate, you will start to realize Biden isn't as insulated and bulletproof to distaste from the wider Democrat electorate as you think.
-
that's optimistic- it's an MSNBC debate so expect a lot of softballs for him, Kamala, and Warren and a lot of questions for Bernie and Tulsi as to if they've stopped beating their wives recently

Kinda think not being endorsed by the first black president is a pretty good indication of what that first black president really feels about his Vice President.

He was criticized for something he said, not for being racist. My God, is it tiring to point out that distinction to people. The “I don’t have a racist bone” defense is just a deflection.

True. He will probably alienate the “electability”-obsessed establishment/media before he turns off large numbers of black voters. The assumption is still that Biden’s support is electability-based, but I’d argue it’s more about his being seen as a proxy for Obama’s third term.

I dunno. Definition of acceptable behavior shifts daily now. Plus 44 always held him at arm’s length so Biden can’t appropriate his charisma.

Probably. But I don’t think it will insulate him from being a gaffe machine.
