Did you know? Non-Americans are legally permitted to contribute "things of value" to US political campaigns, so long as those things are contributed on a volunteer basis. Hence "volunteering" information would not necessarily be a crime, despite widespread screeching otherwisepic.twitter.com/ontEwak2RU

A non-American may volunteer to canvass or phonebank for a presidential campaign. Even though those canvassing/phonebanking hours are theoretically "things of value," they are legally permitted. But now I guess we're going to have a hysterical push for criminalization

        Michael Tracey Retweeted Axios

Blackburn was justified in blocking this knee-jerk bill on the ground that it is "overbroad." We don't have good definitions of what constitutes "foreign assistance" or even an "offer." Could easily end up penalizing otherwise legal, innocuous activityhttps://twitter.com/axios/status/1139257392896643074 …

So, Steele dossier was paid for by Hillary campaign & DNC via agents, which means that it wasn't "volunteer basis" and would violate campaign finance laws

Apparently Steele went to the FBI, or was contracted by the FBI as well as the DNC? I'm iffy on the details, but he was getting payment from two U.S orgs.

The argument about this information, and the rights of entitlement to privacy, are in dispute. The information, belongs to a private, non government entity, as described in the Beck lawsuit transcripts, it’s not “government protected information”, if it existed on a private item.pic.twitter.com/aprJB1yZlp

The truth is, if we go by the testimony of the defense for the democrats, they are a private, non government entity, which entities them to avoid showing and sharing any evidence with the government, but how can they say “that information should be classified as government info”?
