This article is a case study in why a lot of Hindus are becoming increasingly skeptical of the Liberal Establishment: the constant proejctions of Otherness on us, the skepticism of our guru tradition and the implication that we are right-wingers. This piece made me like her more.

I'm not even sure what I think after reading that article. It was (I don't know if intentionally) a mind bending & emotional roller coaster sort of experience. Manipulative? Maybe. But if so, it was done in a way I'm not very familiar with. @KimIversenShow

The article says she is in a cult offshoot of the hare krishnas and has been her whole life. Also, her campaign is run by other cult members. The cult's defining trait is homophobia. That sort of "strange" just ain't gonna appeal to Democratic voters, which is maybe a shame.

Eh, it's a cult though, an extremely homophobic cult. Definitely more than strange.

Target audience during a campaign is not people who already like her. And for people who don't know her yet "strange" will not have a positive effect.

“It is not a sign of health to be well-adjusted to a sick society”... or something like that.
