Biden says Trump is "literally an existential threat to America" due to Charlottesville, tweets, and Putin. So apparently Biden contends that Trump is going to abolish the constitutional system and create an anti-semitic ethno-state or something? Incoherent, alarmist nonsense

Biden reflects a trend seen in the elite media since 2016. Shockingly extreme and hyperbolic on a rhetorical level in their descriptions of Trump -- but that rhetoric is untethered to any structural understanding of the forces that gave rise to Trump in the first place

I cannot speak as intelligently as you, but in my simple observation, Biden would be a Puppet President. He would be an absentee leader, with the swamp creatures calling all the shots. But that’s just lil’ ole’ me saying such things.

Because obscuring the structural forces giving rise to Trump is the principal goal.

Biden and the elite media have been doing this, albeit more subtly, for years. Trump is just the first person not to care. Remember this:https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-tells-african-american-audience-gop-ticket-would-put-them-back-in-chains/ …

It's hysteria - a temper tantrum from the media because the narrative has been challenged.

You are undoubtedly correct in this later half of your analysis. The first part was unfortunately off in my humble opinion.

It reminds me of the famous video of the man who engineered Obamacare saying that "you can always count on the stupidity of the American voter". He was very right and this is the target for this kind of untethered discourse.

Spot on. Even now, Dems think Trump supporters voted for him because of “racism” rather than because of job loss & income inequality. Even Bernie, who benefited in 2016 from the same forces that boosted Trump, is now talking up identity politics & look at his poll numbers drop!

Biden's hyperbolic #Trumpocalypse narrative will probably win a lot more eyerolls than Trump supporters over to his side. Even the most moderate of the democratic candidates just don't get it. Very disappointing and ultimately undeserving of votes.

It's like the Republicans and HRC: With all the charges and investigations, they missed all the good shit, the true shit. Substance is not the thing, it's ratings, ratings, ratings. Those "forces" are easy to understand. There's just one insurmountable force. Ignorance.
