"YouTube radicalization" is a notable phenomenon and worth exploring, but the framing in the NYT and other elite media almost invariably ends up tilted in favor of more stringent speech regulation policies. There's a way to cover this stuff without implicitly demanding censorship

They want to exoticize YouTube as a uniquely dangerous hotbed of extremism, corrupting the youth with its algorithms and such. But “the youth” has always been the demographic most attracted to shocking, radical, or fringe ideas: all of which just now happen to be found on YouTube

While telling society that they can't be trusted to discern the truth on social media, how many damn times did the MSM cover tweets from Twitter with NO attempts to confirm info?! How many retractions have they been forced to give out at midnight on a Thurs? SMDH

These types of "journalists" are uniquely dangerous and a hotbed of extremism. There are more people radicalized by the MSM these days then on YouTube. This is propaganda in it's purest form. Please call it for what it is Michael.

It's a fun fact about kids: they are quintessentially the product of their society (not just or even importantly the bits of society that happen to be strange to old people)

The counter of “YouTube radicalization” would be MSM radicalization where a disproportionate amount of articles are written focusing on gay/libertine culture, income inequality, & climate alarmism. Most articles written thru the lense of victim hood.

were talking about an incredibly small number of people who are radicalized - 99.9% are peaceful - many dont vote, and if they did, could not find a candidate that matches their new view point. so whats the harm?

What’s alarming is that YT is like the normienet version of what used to be around in the 90s. Holy shit. Kids these days don’t even get all the http://stileproject.com  madness 😂
