The "media ecosystem" has never been "pure." But its corruption has been intensified by media organs valorizing, amplifying, and employing huge numbers of intelligence officials since 2016 -- enabling them to shape public opinion on an unprecedented scalehttps://twitter.com/john_sipher/status/1135519625725169664 …

Jeez, I didn't realize the "media ecosystem" was so pure. Am I polluting it? Are journalists the only people who should express their views? I apologize if I've offended anyone for expressing my thoughts. https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1135286951844749313 …

In the age of Twitter/podcasts, these officials take the quasi-journalistic authority that has been ascribed to them by media outlets, and leverage it into large personal platforms -- enabling them to shape public opinion. Exactly what the CIA has been trying to do for decades

Pre-Trump, there would have been a lot more concern about the insidious implications of this trend. But many of these intelligence officials have an aggressively "anti-Trump" point of view, so the media doesn't just overlook the obvious corruption -- they actively facilitate it

So yeah, I object to the unprecedented co-optation of the American media ecosystem by security state officials, and will continue pointing out the danger of this, even when such officials like John Sipher tweet tendentious things about mehttps://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1135249782337921024 …

I'd rather listen to informed amateurs on microplatforms than establishment journos lying their faces off 24/7 for "national security." CIA has controlled MSM as well as opposition platforms for decades. Spotting a shill is good sport. Limited hangout is the usual calling card.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I suspect the current media “ecosystem” is riddled with government NatSec assets. The economics of journalism are increasingly precarious, so the profession is a fertile ground for recruiting.

No kidding. Tracey has fallen for the Trump smear where everything is Trumps fault that we aren't calling out these people. But, it is directly because of trump that we have the power to talk so loud. Tracey thinks he is on the cutting edge of something that's BEEN obvious

There is big Corp interest behind mainstream media. Not sure why more “liberals” don’t push back. Of course there needs to be freedom of the press.... but what if the press is invested in Orwellian style messaging. We need to be able to push back.

Those are'nt expressed thoughts that are so offensive. An agent of the State is there to pump official messages for mass conditioning. Pushing falsehoods in service of the State isn't a personal view at all.
