Lol, noted Twitter troll and “political satirist” @MollyJongFast hosts a podcast alongside someone called @CIAspygirl (former CIA operative and “comedian”) plus longtime Clinton operative Philippe Reines. The modern media ecosystem is so laughably corrupt, it’s incrediblepic.twitter.com/jB4OUf3PUx

Reines is a notoriously mendacious Clinton henchman, but by partnering with him on a podcast, Molly and “CIA spy girl” were granted the honor this week of “interviewing” none other than Hillary herself. Once again, the contemporary political media is a wildly corrupt joke

The extent to which US media has been subordinated by security state officials is stunning. Podcasts, etc. provide additional avenues for this co-optation, so it's more pervasive than ever before. They assume quasi-journalistic authority and frame news events. Amazingly insidious

Molly is either incapable or unwilling to acknowledge that she's part of the broad media effort to afford quasi-journalistic credibility to intelligence officials, enabling them to shape public opinion. You know, the thing the CIA has tried to do throughout its entire history

Instead, Molly and her extremely cool friends just adopt the same old tedious pose of Extremely Online Funny posturing, which provides a cover to deny and/or ignore that they're actively facilitating a full-scale corruption of the contemporary media ecosystem. Very cool stuff!

It's also hilarious that @MollyJongFast is a "contributor" to The Bulwark, Bill Kristol's new outfit founded in the aftermath of the Weekly Standard's tragic death. But she loves to play the guilt-by-association game with *me,* based on who she sees interacting with my *tweets*pic.twitter.com/3yJSIyAoGb

Oh no, whatever will I do without being able to view the Twitter insights of "CIA spy girl." 😭😭😭 I guess I'll have to use some sophisticated spy tactics and fire up Incognito Mode on the ol' web browserpic.twitter.com/w1K7k3Xt9Q

A huge number of CIA/FBI/NSA officials have entered the media bloodstream since 2016, because publications/networks have promoted, valorized, and even *hired" them. The officials then marshal this exposure into huge social media platforms, enabling them to shape public opinion

Because the current media ecosystem is so fractured and diffuse, these individuals end up being imbued with quasi-journalistic authority; the average reader/listener/viewer/follower generally cannot distinguish them from other media figures. That's why today is unlike past eras

Corrupt? A podcast? Please explain. Should I scan the universe of podcasts so I can complain about the ones I don't like? What's your point?

I’m opposed to intelligence officials insinuating themselves into the broader media ecosystem and assuming quasi-journalistic authority, but you’re one of the worse offenders in that regard, so I wouldn’t expect you to comprehend my point of view.
