It’s fantasy to suggest that “collusion” and “obstruction” are ever going to be separable in the context of a turbo-charged impeachment proceeding. There’s no way around it: Dems are moving to impeach Trump on the basis of a debunked conspiracy theoryhttps://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-oped-the-runaway-impeachment-train-20190528-jfedgjwbjnegrjxxehrzwx53fa-story.html …

That said, as I write in the column, I think Trump supporters and perhaps Trump himself are over-confident about the certainty of impeachment somehow “helping” Trump. Anyone who claims they know how this is going to play out politically is blowing smoke out of their you-know-what

I love how the more Serious Impeachment Advocates insist that average citizens are going to sit there and legalistically parse out obstruction from collusion, rather than bundle them both into the same vague Russia/Mueller cluster of issues, which is 100% what's going to happen

Whatever Mueller pronounces today, it won't change the fact that zero Americans were indicted for conspiracy with Russia, and it won't change that his Report destroyed the entire "collusion" narrative. But Dems will latch onto anything he says to further their impeachment crusade

Mueller still occupies the Special Counsel position (and thus remains an employee of the Justice Department) so it's possible that he just announces his work is complete and he is leaving the DOJ. Which will make it easier to get him to testify before Congress

Mueller just gave impeachment-crazy Democrats a fresh injection of Russia fever. Initiation of impeachment proceedings is likelier than ever now. Mueller specifically tailored his statement to instigate impeachment: I don't see how anyone could read it otherwise

      Michael Tracey Retweeted (((Rep. Nadler)))

In this statement Nadler says it's a "lie" to suggest that the Mueller Report showed "no collusion." It therefore stands to reason that in any forthcoming impeachment proceeding, which Nadler would oversee, "collusion" would be a major component. Nadler wrote that statement because he couldn't stay upright and conscious enough long enough to deliver it verbally.

Or someone wrote it for Nadler, because he has no idea what day of the week it is without his staff constantly reminding him.

Sometimes it is harder to prove something when the person you are investigating obstructs your investigation. Can you think of a situation like that?

The Senate has to vote for impeachment. That ain't gonna happen. Trump won't get impeached.

There's not going to be an actual impeachment buddy. Even Democrats are not that dumb (I know, hard to believe). There's just going to be a lot of talk about impeachment.
