Don't agree with Justin Amash's analysis on impeachment, but respect his independence and willingness to defend his views in public, including a 2+ hour town hall yesterday in Grand Rapids. More elected officials should have that mindset, whether or not you agree on the substance

What would Amash cut? We all know the pols have their eyes on Medicare and Social Security. Trump making immigration a major political issue will hamper that. Immigrants use a lot of welfare programs. People will demand that stop before touching old age programs.

He'd cut just about everything. Not difficult for libertarians.

The last straw for me with Romney/Ryan was when they were arguing for increased military spending during the debates. Up until that time I was still under the impression that Ryan was a fiscal hawk. Had to go with Gary Johnson.

Agree regarding the spending. Terrible. Ryan and McConnell did damage to Trump and GOP.

So Amash is repeating debunked Russiagate lies in one hand but you love his commentary about fiscal responsibility in the other. You must love the swamp just the way it is. Pandering is all this is.
