Michael Tracey Retweeted The Boeing Company

"Our stock price is literally based on the amount of war-fighting armaments we can produce, and thus we are incentivized to encourage global military conflict. Also, Happy Memorial Day"https://twitter.com/Boeing/status/1133016142371598336 …

30% of Boeing’s revenue is military contracts.

Maybe Boeing should remember to make pilots aware when they change the computer systems...speaking of fallen people.

Spot ON! I mean, it's never gonna be that fleet of cheap, unsafe passenger liners they make as long as they auger when you try and fly them. The Max, The Dreamliner, the 727s that had aluminum elevator screw receivers to save money, lengthening maintenance intervals, and more.

Boeing swallowed MD, a better company that made better planes, so less money. The S.E.C. allowed Boeing to take over MD and never should have. They made this happen when they approved that merger. Wall St. regulations, or the lack of them, do KILL PEOPLE!

This is such a complicated issue. Americans have twice in about 5 generations ended wars on a global scale, & WW2 was a horrifyingly close win against true evil. What cost is too high to be prepared to again fight that battle? Why is the price continually rooted in conflict?

I'm sure Michael would be ecstatic to be able to write about something other than war, whereas some companies like Boeing would cease to exist without it.
