"Progressive" media is so constantly in defense mode with respect to Bernie that they've evidently lost any capacity to constructively criticize. His complete silence on the Assange prosecution is inexcusable. Yeah, I get the strategic calculus. Doesn't make it any less amoral

Sanders ordering Trump to "obey the constitution" isn't very convincing as an affirmative defense of Assange. Pretty toothless, really.

Trying to make it harder for the MSM and DNC to lie about him and portray Bernie as a Russian agent.

Lucky for Bernie that Trump won. I doubt any democrat would question this action under Hillary and please, don't anyone tell me her DOJ wouldn't have done the same. This is wrong for the Trump admin to do, but the DOJ/deep state was not going to be stopped, by anyone.

How is a foreign citizen covered by the US constitution?
-
The First Amendment doesn't apply to any citizens of anywhere. It applies to Congress. "Congress shall make no law..."
