I had a long discussion with @MichaelRCaputo about his embroilment in the Mueller investigation, his political history with Trump, the "metaphysical certitude" of impeachment, and much morehttps://www.patreon.com/posts/trump-advisor-on-27099464 …

To be clear, Caputo is saying that the fact of impeachment is an inevitability. In light of that inevitability, he's confident that Trump's campaign people are crunching the data and have reached the conclusion that Trump will benefit from Dem overreach. Again, I'm not so sure

Caputo says he was set up by an FBI informant, and Mueller’s people tried (but failed) to catch him on a meaningless technicality, as they did with Papadopoulos. He presents plausible evidence for this. Further indication that the investigation was fundamentally fraudulent

I understand strategy better than most people, any I've met, but I don't get this. It's like they're in oblivion of the facts that are evident and the physical evidence of his crimes. It's as though he thinks because he's "TRUMP" it's not a crime for him. Nixon thought the same.

The only way it backfires is with a successful impeachment, which won't happen.
