Pundits love to point out that Trump's "base" (overused term) would be energized by impeachment. OK, but so would Dems' "base." And we know the Dem base is already very energized, as evidenced by massive turnout in the 2018 midterms. Unclear which "base" would be more "energized"

All pointless. Just an example of media disintegration, all politics, all the time. Could be great for Dems; could be great for GOP if attention hogs like Schiff and Nadler are vindictive. No one knows.

The Dems who are energized have been that say since Russiangate. Many of Trumps supporters aren’t. Nor are the larger body of Reps who support Trump policies like 90% but don’t support him personally. The same type of Russiangate crowd will be leading the way on impeachment.

NPRs Onpoint had a almost full hour today on why Trump should be impeached. It largely consisted of the “expert” claims of collusion with Trump/Putin. She claimed unchallenged on the show that Mueller report proved this. Can’t see much more gain in pushing Trump/Putin collusion.

I'm pretty confident that the Senate would vote to acquit given that the threshold for impeachment conviction trial is 2/3rds. An absolute vindication, no matter how the MSM and Dems try to spin such a failure.

Cocaine doesn't even have to act on the impeachment: "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments."
