And yes, the rush of new redhat and white nationalist followers is damning. Tracey’s retort that you can’t control who follows you is asinine. No, you can’t, but you CAN make it clear that you don’t welcome their support. Why Tracey won't do this is beyond comprehension.

You have no idea what I've done reporting-wise, you're just "raging" on the basis of faulty information and no, I have no desire to appease your disingenuous demands by providing examples of reporting I've done. Go obsess about something else.

I've always categorically rejected the notion that anyone on Twitter is responsible for the random people who engage with them (you're engaging me right now, and I'm not responsible for you.) If you affirm that fantastically idiotic guilt-by-association logic, have a party.

Press criticism has been a constant throughout American history on the left, right, and everywhere in between. Much of what the contemporary press produces is horrible and I will continue pointing that out regardless of which anonymous Twitter trolls find it gratifying.

I don't accept your reductive caricature of my "audience," gleaned from your selective analysis of who replies to random tweets. And I'll make broad attacks on reporters if it's warranted. Further, when you claim I "don't report myself" you're either lying or ignorant.

I've reported on Yemen policy, I've interviewed presidential candidates, I've broken stories using leaked documents, I've interviewed voters everywhere in the country, and more that I'm not willing to list right now. I don't care whether that satisfies your "journalism" criteria.
