Former FBI General Counsel James Baker confirms that Rod Rosenstein's proposal to "wear a wire" on Trump in the Oval Office was taken "deadly seriously" and he provided guidance as to its "legality and practical and operational significance." So yeah, that pretty clearly happened

It makes perfect sense for Rosenstein to pass it off as a "joke" but multiple individuals directly involved in the discussions directly refute that. At the time Rosenstein was also signing off on FISA warrants. And he engaged in other conduct reflecting how seriously he took this

Trump lawyer John Dowd expressed bewilderment and irritation at how Rosenstein handled the Russia investigation. Baker previously testified under penalty of perjury that this was a real proposal. Either way, why not get Rosenstein before Congress to clear everything up?

Baker never heard this from Rosenstein directly. Only heard it from McCabe and/or Lisa Page. I don’t believe he ever discussed anything with Rosenstein (did NOT provide legality opinion). Not sure I would put any faith in any of their testimony as of now. Mccabe up the creek

I have a feeling that in a game of "Rod Rosenstein vs. ..." that Rod Rosenstein is going to end up being the winner.

A discussion amongst the FBI brass to remove a sitting president. Was rod coming out of left field or were all of them spit balling ideas? Seems uber significant as it relates to the Mueller investigation that soon followed.

Not sure I’m buying this, Baker and McCabe have a lot of incentive to lie. Even under oath, which is basically a “he said, she said” scenario anyway most likely impossible to prove either way.

They all have the incentive to lie. Not one word of what these coupsters say can be taken as fact.

Something that could also have easily happened instead is Rod Rosenstein thought he was joking but James Baker simply took him seriously. If you hadn't noticed a lot of that has been going around the last 4 years.
