Yeah, the killing in Charlottesville was a "one-off event." And the beatings. And the Tree of Life synagogue massacre. Another one-off. And the Christchurch mosque massacre. Another one-off. And the San Diego synagogue shooting. Man, the bodies are piling up from these one-offshttps://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1129601398432309248 …

It's a profound mistake to measure the impact of political violence just on "body count" alone. "Hey, the body count of Malcolm X's assassination was really low. Just one guy! Big fucking deal!"
-
It's not the only measure, but it's an important one that tends to get obscured by the inflammatory media coverage of both groups.

Who exactly implies the body count is high? Usually it's presented as a "The More You Know" surprise bit when someone correctly notes that white supremacists violence is rising and has a higher body count in the US than other ideologies more readily associated with terror

You always do this thing where you seamlessly intertwine things said by 5000 follower twitter accounts with what's being said on mainstream media, and as usual it fools no one

Terrorism is political propaganda and intimidation first. Is not body count or war.

The Tree of Life shooting is the deadliest single attack on the Jewish community in United States history.
