The impact of political violence extends beyond body count. One could argue (as I've heard racists do) that the KKK didn't lynch that many people. Yet KKK violence pervasively shaped race relations from Reconstruction until (at the least) 1960s.

The actual violent terroristic threat, which is what I was referring to from the outset, is based on body count. It would be nice if the extremely low body count produced by both these groups was emphasized more in wider media and Twitter discourse.
