It is entirely fitting that Fox News has become an issue on which candidates in the Democratic primary have to take positions. It tells us something about them. My coordinates on this are: Talking to Fox viewers is good. Legitimating Fox News is bad. Squaring that circle is hard.

Indeed, all the not-FOX big media outlets are bloodthirsty supporters of war, death, and sadism overseas. I don't know how a decent person with a conscience could legitimate any of them.

Overall, the degree to which Fox promotes blatant falsehoods is categorically higher. The fact that the worst liars are also their biggest stars, means the lies reach more ears, which I don’t believe is captured by
