Policy should not be driven by the rare cases. Decide a reasonable parameter overall and then carve out the rare instances.

Hillary Clinton on 3/28/2016: "The next president could end up nominating multiple justices...That means whoever America elects this fall will help determine the future of the Court for decades to come.”
-
They knew this. That’s why many held their noses and voted for Trump anyway.

I share your frustration. At best, all we could do is a "legal fiction" that leaves no side satisfied. The reality is, it's a wedge issue to inflame voters. And each side retreats to their extreme.

I am unwilling to let an extremely - nearly statistically insignificant - small number of the overall number of abortions be the defining factor. It cannot work that way. Virtually nothing works that way.

Agree. Sadly, this is what happens and what we get w/extremes on both the left and the right. Far left thinks it’s alright to kill healthy live baby after it’s born and far right wants no abortion at all under no circumstances. Crazy shit these days, man. We all lose.

In my experience, when offered the "rape and incest" compromise to a pro-choice advocate, it wasn't good enough and exposed that they are exploiting that very small percentage of women for their own benefit.

Just curious what this says to children conceived in rape. Are they defective or bad some how?

I can't see the moral ambiguity. Its an issue for woman: Its their autonomy, their bodies, their health. Forcing a woman or girl to carry a pregnancy against her will, certainly before the fetus is viable outside the womb, is unconscionable.

agree. It’s immoral to grossly infringe on another’s Free Will, such as in this case of banning abortion even in extreme circumstances. The ends do not justify the means.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
