Howard Stern claims he has inside information from people who "orchestrated" Trump's 2016 campaign that he never actually wanted to be president https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/05/09/magazine/howard-stern-change.html …pic.twitter.com/IQgCdXdvEJ

Don’t most of us already suppose it started as a branding exercise? Then his greed or narcissism — or kompromat — took over.

Well. Never before have the USA been so lucky as to have a reluctant leader. He is doing a great job I would say. Stroke of Fortune.

Did Stern expect Trump to have his pick of campaign staffers from the GOP establishment? Of course he had a rag tag group of people at the beginning before becoming the nominee. Even when he was the obvious nominee they were trying to replace him.

He actually says that, based on actual information, he has formed that theory. He doesn't claim to know, but uses misleading language like 'I can tell you with some assurance that I believe' so it feel like he's saying he knows for sure.

No way. He spent $60 million of his own money & did 5 rallies a day - sometimes standing in the blistering heat in a suit. No one does that for publicity.

Howard turned into a WOKE antiTrumper. He wants his Hollywood buddies to like him. Not worth the listen anymore. He was friends with Trump back in the day. Would have respected him more, if he stayed a friend... despite the pressure from the ‘mean girl’ Hollywood mob.

Many of his former “friends” did the same. Those people are cowards and will be trying to get back into his good graces once he’s done his term(s).

I just don’t buy publicity stunt. right at the beginning a little in 2015 but once he gained traction it fed his ego to keep it going. Same reason he didn’t quit post access Hollywood-ego did not allow for it.Trump is insecure and had hesitation about could he do it once he won.

I'd buy "didn't expect to have the strongest odds". Until he stepped in the ring and really realized how totally inept and pathetic all these career politicians were. Then he couldn't help but mop the floor with them.

he pulled this stunt twice before, oh introspective oracle with a ram state reset problem😆 One wonders who actually voted for him and why some time back the Republicans went from loathing to suddenly loving voting machines.🤔
