    Michael Tracey Retweeted Ruby Cramer

There’s an implicit (and stinging) criticism of Bernie here in Warren’s statement about why she is refusing to do a Fox News town hall. Bernie is necessarily guilty of everything Warren alleges, considering he did a Fox News town hallhttps://twitter.com/rubycramer/status/1128314026587353089 …

    Michael Tracey added,

Elizabeth Warren has turned down an offer to hold a Fox News town hall. The news channel is a "hate-for-profit racket" that provides "cover," she says, for the very thing she's campaigning against: "corruption that’s rotting our government and hollowing out our middle class." pic.twitter.com/NKhYBHw6jM

Except you omitted the part where everything @SenWarren criticized @foxnewspolitics @FoxNews for being and doing, you can charge CNN, MSNBC, and all the rest of the mainstream media for being and doing to stifle @SenSanders @TulsiGabbard

Bernie went into the lion's den and proved that his policies and ideas are popular even with Trumpers. That's a valuable lesson.

Bernie's Town Hall was a big success. I am not sure why this is an issue to others. This is one problem with @SenWarren. Good with policy proposals. Weak with political courage. She follows party line 2 many times & sometimes at crucial events when progressives expect boldness

Bernie only cares about reaching out to struggling Americans and a lot of those people watch FOX News.

Of course .@ewarren won't go on Fox for a Town Hall 1) Cos Bernie ripped the lines between one party & another to pieces with grounded policies 2) She likes Home Ground Corruption & Biases where she can get away with answering softball questions using pontification & deflection

Nearly all of what she alleges about Fox - & she isn't wrong - can also be laid at the door of MSNBC & CNN but she'd do a Town Hall with them in a minute. She should've done it: CNN and MSNBC use Warren & Sanders as progressive cover before they force Biden down people's throats.

This is Warren's "deplorables" moment. But unlike Clinton, this is directed at Fox News, their viewers, and anyone associated with them like Bernie and his supporters. This also cements her willingness to bow to the DNC's demands. She is not a progressive.

FOX (nor any other cable channel) is not news, it's entertainment. If she wants to boycott the business, whatever... Free speech is reserved for reality and truth, none of which exist in either Warren or FOX.

I’m wondering why you keep taking these sideways attacks at Bernie - Warren’s too good for Fox .... really? - when you can just slam his face back into Hillary Clinton and the subsequent loss to Trump. What am I missing?

Warren has given up on Trump voters apparently. Bernie thanks he can win at least some of them over since polling shows that they are sympathetic to some of his ideas and policy. Boils down to strategy. Warren and Bernie have made different strategic choices.

i can understand her reasoning but i don't think it's true. Town halls are one-off type things, not something that would count too highly in the long-term calculations of advertisers. Certainly not enough of a worry to justify abandoning the opportunity to reach that audience.

If any candidate wants to win the general election, they need to try to appeal to ALL people. I think this shows weakness and/or lack of confidence in messaging to not even try. And you’re also implying guilt by association by appearing on Fox. I don’t think that’s fair.
