Joe Biden is a stronger candidate than many in the media initially wanted to acknowledge. The association with Obama is probably the single most valuable asset any candidate can have in a presidential primary race. He's not "Hillary 2.0" either. My item:https://spectator.us/joe-biden-2020-blow/ …

As I discuss in the essay, one key early Biden endorser who hasn't gotten much attention is Rep. Don McEachin (D-VA). McEachin is heading House candidate recruitment for Dems in 2020. So there will be subtle (or not so subtle) pressures for these candidates to endorse Biden

Example of the impotence of Biden's opposition: today people on Twitter are raging about some policy he put forward. Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad. It doesn't matter. The policies voters associate with him are those enacted under the 8-year Obama presidency. Accept that or lose

Another key advantage Biden has that Hillary lacked:https://twitter.com/ThePlumLineGS/status/1126940488756494337 …

And another advantage I forgot to mention in the piece: Biden recently shut down his personal "foundation," which was nowhere near the scope of the Clinton Foundation -- which the Clintons refused to shut down in 2016, leading to (accurate) accusations of nepotism and corruption

It’s amazing to me how quick people are to scream that I’m somehow “shilling” for Biden, as if I suddenly decided that I love him and want him to be president. No, I’m just trying to describe the dynamics operative in a Democratic primary. Descriptive vs normative: look it up

Besides if TYT did this you would harp on them for days.

Not if they were being descriptive rather than normative.

Can Biden rely on the same excuses that Obama did in his failures to achieve anything during his terms? A voter can easily compare economies and the social justice agenda is still freshly in voters minds.

Biden’s best feature is that he isn’t Hillary. I do wonder why so many Obama people don’t want him to run? My sense, maybe hope, is that Obama staffers torpedo his candidacy much the way Clinton staffers torpedoed Klobuchar

Yup, Biden is not going to win Twitter, but he will be the Democratic nominee, and he will lose to Trump. Good times

Writing the bill that became the patriot act alone should mean he's banished from all gov work. He has a truly awful track record.

His Crime Act of 1994 is not a thing of beauty. Especially for black families.

Positive? The man, Biden, made it impossible to get rid of student loan debt via bankruptcy, he made prisons for profit a "thing" using the bodies of POC. Against

We can't let him become president or we'll have President Steve Bannon in 2028. And our kids will be branded at birth in the new caste system.
