I should say, this isn't really an "item." It's a pretty long essay. I also think it's notable that whenever you say something "positive" about Biden on Twitter, even if you're just trying to be descriptive rather than normative, tweet-engagement goes way down. Telling!

As I discuss in the essay, one key early Biden endorser who hasn't gotten much attention is Rep. Don McEachin (D-VA). McEachin is heading House candidate recruitment for Dems in 2020. So there will be subtle (or not so subtle) pressures for these candidates to endorse Biden

Example of the impotence of Biden's opposition: today people on Twitter are raging about some policy he put forward. Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad. It doesn't matter. The policies voters associate with him are those enacted under the 8-year Obama presidency. Accept that or lose

Another key advantage Biden has that Hillary lacked:https://twitter.com/ThePlumLineGS/status/1126940488756494337 …

And another advantage I forgot to mention in the piece: Biden recently shut down his personal "foundation," which was nowhere near the scope of the Clinton Foundation -- which the Clintons refused to shut down in 2016, leading to (accurate) accusations of nepotism and corruption

It’s amazing to me how quick people are to scream that I’m somehow “shilling” for Biden, as if I suddenly decided that I love him and want him to be president. No, I’m just trying to describe the dynamics operative in a Democratic primary. Descriptive vs normative: look it up

This article is more reality than I can handle on a Friday afternoon. Even if Joe is "extremely popular within the party rank-and-file", is he popular enough to make people go out and vote for him? I hope not.

I didn't expect to vote for Jill Stein twice in a row, but here we are.

He's already blown it. Are you going to ignore the Ukraine and China scandals already out there? I can only imagine what is still to come out. He's old school dirty swamp.

I think he's a junk candidate. They want to knock Sanders out of the box. Sanders I do not trust anyway, given his backing of Clinton. Still playing the warm-up act routine?

-
We know the DNC required candidates in the Democratic primary to sign a contract that they would support the nominee in 2018. Thus, don't you think this would have also been a requirement for Sanders in 2016? One of the costs of running on the ticket.

I have no doubt that the next time Biden makes an unscripted appearance in public, he will say something so unbearably stupid, we will all be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Debates are at the end of June!pic.twitter.com/HAujUrF6wn

One scenario I imagined after the election of Trump, was that people would be so freaked out by the wolf that they would happily run to the fox. This is why
#Biden2020 is even a thing. -
Yeah. Remember what Malcolm X said about the wolves and the foxes.

Michael uses a lot of words, sometimes big ones, to try to polish up a turd here. Unfortunately his audience is not clay needing to be formed.
