A certain cohort loves to attack Tulsi for having cordial dealings with Modi. Yes, she was co-chair of the House caucus on India and exchanged some diplomatic niceties in that capacity. Meanwhile, Obama showered Modi with praise, and they never complainedhttps://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1126505526374699009 …

It's obvious that the outsized criticism that Tulsi receives vis-a-vis Modi, and "Hindu nationalism" more broadly, is 95% based on the fact that she is Hindu (first one ever elected to Congress). That's why she's sensitive about the criticism and views it as largely cynical

I agree. I was disgusted (unsurprised) by how Obama appeased far-right Hindu nationalist Modi. Obama was praised for extremely indirect, mild allusions to inclusivity on a visit to India, but that was drowned out by his extreme on-camera chumminess with and praise of Modi.

Hindu Nationalism & 2002 Riots are Nothing but a Smear by Leftist Media...a Smear that is meant to keep Modi an Untouchable to the world leaders. This has ofcourse never Resonated with the people...The more Liberals Criticize him the more popular he gets.
