Chris Arnade is one of the most perceptive and unique analysts/reporters on US politics, and to snidely dismiss his forthcoming book because it's blurbed by someone you dislike is incredibly inane -- but not surprising for the Too Cool NYC journo crowdhttps://twitter.com/onesarahjones/status/1126184464131006465 …

Sorry. Recycling outmoded, unethical right wing policy in left garb for electoral triangulation and dismissing critics as tools isn’t original at all. It’s the Bermuda Triangle of authoritarian statism.

I was unaware that conservative social democratic nationalism was considered original or insightful. Misreading decades of internationalism on the Left as support for anti-immigration policies and protectionism could be construed as a "hot take" i suppose.

It’s also noteworthy you “snidely dismiss” a journalist who has provided unique perspective as someone who’s from Appalachia, not just one of the “NYC journo-buddies”, but I understand, Mike, that such background is worthless.
