Journalists at prestige outlets like CNN + NYT launched an aggressive pressure campaign to demand that social media companies expel various unsavory characters (mostly, but not exclusively right-wingers). It worked. Now they feign shock that right-wingers are claiming persecution

I feel like it is important to note that online creators are direct competition for these outlets.

Censorship is wrong I think. Humans are social animals so if someone says unpleasant things you can always choose not to socialise with them. If someone makes threats of violence there have always been punishable laws for that too which should be the only limit on speech.

Where our society goes, the law will follow. The less respect we as a people have for free expression, the more likely our politicians are to pass laws, and eventually amendments, to supress it.

Some people will probably argue that expression of political thought should only be permitted on the Internet if the major media concerns approve of it. Not in so many words, of course.

Prestige... lol They're strong arms of globalism. They tell the sheeple what to think and when to think it. There's no prestige involved. Heavens...

I remember when Trump demanded the NFL fire Colin Kaepernick, how right-wingers rushed to the defense of the first amendment over company interest. If only their noble example could be adopted by others.
