Do the people YAAASS Queening Kamala Harris not realize that she was setting the groundwork for an outright rejection of the Mueller Report? Her premise was that Mueller may not have properly conveyed the underlying evidence in order to help Trump. She basically attacked Mueller!

Harris was sowing suspicion not just about Barr's representations of the Mueller Report, or any aspect involving Barr, but of Mueller's handling of the underlying evidence which was then crafted into the Report. So she's now strongly implying that Dems should not trust Mueller!

Her line of questioning (which was at least coherent, unlike Hirono) indicates Dems do not view the Mueller Report as the final word on these matters. They demand to see "underlying evidence." Which means Trump/Russia is going to continue to be a live issue indefinitely. Enjoy!

In theory I welcome seeing any and all underlying evidence for the sake of transparency. But Harris is using the non-availability of underlying evidence to cast doubt on Mueller’s charging decisions. Which means the conspiracy theory will remain alive for the foreseeable future

Your conclusion may be correct, but Mueller did not make the charging decision. That decision was made by Barr and Rosenstein. Sen. Harris had valid points about reviewing the actual evidence & Rod’s potential conflict.

Mueller made the decision to not bring charges on obstruction. It was his purview to make a decision one way or another, and he decided not to charge.

It wasn't his purview; Mueller didn't make a determination because of the OLC regulation re: charging a sitting president, which is why he specifically said the report didn't exonerate Trump. It was meant to be left up to congress, not Barr.
