Why don't you regard Wittes and Wheeler as counter-examples to Greenwald & co.'s claims that everyone (but them) got it wrong? To my mind, that's the problem with Greenwald & co. Wittes and Wheeler aren't outliers, opinion-wise.

I'm honestly curious where you think I advanced a cartoonish version of the collusion scenario. Are you sure you're not confusing my work with that of others?

Wittes did advance a cartoonish view of collusion, such as routinely intimating that every "bombshell" (about which he chanted his Boom! slogan) was indicative of collusion. As we now know, the Trump Tower meeting (referenced here) had zero to do with anything collusive.pic.twitter.com/AtHGUZFCOX

Yes, exactly. I have no idea what that tweet is in reference to or what happened that day that might have prompted it. It simply is not the case that I have made a strong argument that there was collusion.

The tweet was in reference to (incendiary and overwrought) news reports about the Trump Tower meeting.https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/10/us/politics/donald-trump-jr-russia-email-candidacy.html …

Ah, in that case I stand by it. That meeting was evidence of collusion then and remains so now.

Thank you for confirming that you advanced a cartoonish view of collusion. Some of us inferred immediately that a meeting facilitated over email by a British music promoter was exceedingly unlikely to indicate collusion.

If you think that believing that a meeting between a political campaign and a foreign power explicitly set up to deliver dirt on an opponent is not evidence of collusion, then yes, our views are sufficiently divergent that one of us is, indeed, cartoonish.
