It will never stop being amazing that the "lie" for which Mike Flynn was convicted, and which provoked a major "scandal" resulting in his resignation, involved encouraging a nuclear-armed state to not escalate tensionspic.twitter.com/HglIkjvKOG

Absurd: In relation to Flynn, the FBI was actually contemplating violations of the Logan Act, a statute enacted in the year 1799 (literally) under which zero persons in US history have ever been convicted. Papadopoulos also says Mueller threatened him with Logan Act violationspic.twitter.com/GtRCOb0m0Z
It's truly ridiculous how much the specter of the comically obsolete Logan Act motivated various actions during this time period, including among White House officials. Last time anyone was charged with a Logan Act violation was in 1852. (The person was not convicted)pic.twitter.com/6xPPJ4iwHr
White House lawyer John Eisenberg seriously raised the possibility that Mike Flynn could be prosecuted under the Logan Act. The Logan Act was passed at the behest of President John Adams to discourage private diplomacy with France during the "quasi war" of 1798-1800. This is nutspic.twitter.com/hp2ata0vQ0
No, they say it was Russia
Why wasn’t Jill Stein under investigation? She was at the same gala. Or was she also under investigation?
Stems from a referral to McCord by Dem Party operative and Obama campaign staffer Scott Dworkin. The complaint was tendered 10 days after Trump won the election. The scheme to destroy Trump and all his campaign surrogates was already operational.https://twitter.com/funder/status/936622603132948480 …
But this type of thinking is now considered to be a crime by the Beltway Elite establishment.
"What was *that* investigation predicated on?" That is a good question and we should try to get an answer to it.
Yes, Attending the 2015 RT Gala (with Jill Stein). also Flynn opposed CIA policy of helping jihadists to overthrow government of Syria. Operation "Timber Sycamore."
I am very surprised they let you read this Michael. Those guys in that van in front of your building are not repair men.
You know the obvious response is, they had something substantial that worried him so he pled guilty to perjury to end it.
Perhaps because Flynn was working with the Russians and against the Obama administration's regime change in Syria by sharing intel about Nusra & ISIS that Russia back-channeled to the Syrian Army, "the whereabouts and intent of radical jihadist groups".https://www.lrb.co.uk/v38/n01/seymour-m-hersh/military-to-military …
My hunch is that Flynn wanted to normalize relations with Russia--to play Russia against China or perhaps to avoid a dangerous new Cold War.
Don't think it will surprise anyone at DIA that Flynn had active CI issues involving Russians.
I would not want to be a former Obama appointee right now...so much sh*^t is about to hit the fan...
I'm sure this really pissed off the Obama admin & the CIA/FBI around this time :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccdeANvo2bg …
At that time, Obama was envious and didn’t trust Flynn. So they investigated him clandestinely to trap him.
