Remember this NYT headline from Oct. 31, 2016 which was later breathlessly maligned by Clinton partisans and journalists as a horrible failure? It was proven right. As the article states, FBI/Mueller found no "conclusive or direct link between Trump and the Russian government"pic.twitter.com/Iv4gXZ487P

Mueller stated he found numerous contacts. He did not find sufficient evidence to indict, but in layman's terms, contacts ≈ links.

Over 130 different interactions between the Trump campaign and Russian agents. Mueller absolutely showed NUMEROUS links between the Trump campaign and Russian agents. He couldn’t achieve the very high standard of proving a criminal conspiracy beyond reasonable doubt.

So basically in @mtracey world, if you've done really bad things but you're smart enough to leave no detectable trace of your misdeeds knowing that said misdeeds may be investigated some day, you're good. Where were you when the mafia could have used your voice in the 80s?

"Well Mr. Prosecutor, I know that witness died the night before they were supposed to testify against me but did you find my finger prints?" "No. We found that your men harassed the witness for days before their death" "Right but you have footage?" "No." @mtracey: "Innocent!"

Exactly! And all of the murky links were the ones the FBI and CIA trying to create connections via Mifsud

That's an interesting flash from the past. The not-so-funny thing is Peter #Strzok said the same thing in his texts, that there wasn't any there there...but that didn't stop Andy #McCabe & Gang. #MuellerReport

But Maxine Waters and Pencil Schiff say they have evidence and will probably release it at an appropriate time after Trump's term. 😜

This is inaccurate: The @nytimes story states that “Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government.”/1

Now read Pg 173 of Vol I of the Mueller Report: “In sun, the investigation established multiple links between Trump Campaign officials and individuals tied to the Russian government. Those links included Russian offers of assistance to the Campaign.”/2

Maybe not the Russian Government, just the bilionaire oligarchs that run things in their home country of Russia.
