It's so stupid to argue that Barr was acting as Trump's "personal lawyer." It fell to Barr to make a determination about the prosecutability of obstruction, which necessitated ascertaining Trump's state of mind when he took his allegedly obstructive acts

People further argue, "It's the role of Congress to make the determination, not Barr." False. Mueller reports to Barr, who then determines the DOJ's course of action in terms of whether to prosecute crimes. Congress is then free to make its own determination, independent of Barr

The Muller report says exactly the opposite. That it was for Congress, not Barr, to determine the question of obstruction because he accepts the OLC's position that you cannot indict a sitting president.

I don't get it. You are one of the people always claiming to take the perfectly reasonable (and correct) position that we ought to be sceptical of claims made my those in power? Seems to me that you're wanting to claim a victory here so you're neglecting that principle.

There should have been this much deconstruction of the close of the Hilary email investigation, which actually WAS a criminal investigation.

Where she didn’t know what the “C” stamped on all her emails meant. It meant “Classified”.... duh. But because of things like that and because she deleted 30K emails under subpoena, they couldn’t determine her “state of mind”.

To quote his personal lawyer @MichaelCohen212 “says who?” 1) It did not fall to Barr, not in the least 2) the point of the personal lawyer comment has to do with capture, which Barr has repeatedly exhibited, its not a one time decision/action thing.

"it fell to Barr" No, it didn't. And DOJ already has a policy on the prosecutability - as to the president, the answer is: nothing.

Now that we've seen the (redacted) report, it is clear Barr was *spinning* Mueller's conclusions in the best possible light as if he were the lawyer for the defense, not the top law enforcement officer of the United States working for the American people.pic.twitter.com/zGpsPMv08D

The Iran/Contra cover-up guy who wrote a 20 page unsolicited memo pushing the unitary executive theory essentially saying the President can't obstruct justice and that Mueller has no authority to question Trump on obstruction. You're either very dumb or think your followers are.

I applaud you for rebutting emotional arguments. I believe it to be futile as, by definition, emotional arguments are void of rational thought and logic and likely will never be "defeated." Your effort to hold them accountable anyway is commendable.
